Our Story- Built from Real Experience

The foundation of OSA Global is deeply rooted in the personal journey of its Founder and Principal Counselor, Mr. Shivam Chaudhary.

In 2012, Shivam arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand as an international student. Like thousands of students each year, he faced the realities that many are unprepared for complex course selections, visa renewals, compliance requirements, financial decisions, and the absence of reliable, experience-based guidance.

Between 2012 and 2019, his journey was shaped by independent research, practical learning, and real-life challenges. A major visa complication in 2014 became a defining moment, exposing a critical gap in the industry: the difference between theoretical advice and practical, lived guidance.

After successfully completing his Bachelor’s degree from CPIT, New Zealand, and gaining extensive on-ground exposure to international education systems and student life, Shivam founded Overseas Study Advisor (OSA) in 2020 with a clear vision:

To provide honest, transparent, and personalised guidance that he himself once needed as a student.
